A little about us
We film quietly, and let the day unfold
I'm Quil. I started Alegre after hearing the same thing from couple after couple — they could remember how their day looked, but not how it sounded.
So that's what we go after. We work the way a documentary crew would: no posing, no shot lists to march through, no one clapping to get your attention. We're two people in soft colours who know when to step forward and, more importantly, when to step back.
Most of our couples tell us afterwards they forgot we were there. That's the whole idea. The day should feel like your day — not like a production — and the film should feel like someone who loves you was standing quietly in the corner, recognising which moments mattered.
Why film
Photos show you the day. Film lets you hear it.
A photograph holds a face. It can't hold the shake in your dad's voice, or the exact pause before someone says your name.
The vows
Said once, quietly, usually through tears, and almost never remembered word for word afterwards. We record them on lapel mics so you get every line — not a song playing over silent footage.
The speeches
The stories only your people can tell. The in-jokes, the roast from your brother, the thing your mum says at the end that makes the whole room go quiet. These are the moments couples ask us for most.
The in-between
Your nan on the dance floor at 10pm. Your best mate fixing your collar. The two of you catching each other's eye across the room — the bits nobody thinks to plan, which end up mattering most.
Years from now you won't rewatch it to see what you wore. You'll watch it to hear people you love, sounding the way they did that day.
